Camping on our way to Moremi

We are always looking for a place to stay over on our way to Khwai Village, Moremi. We usually stay over at Campsites outside Maun. This time we have decided to drive a bit further and make it to Mababe River Lodge.

Just outside Mababe Village, you find Mababe River Lodge. The Lodge has Campsites and Chalets to suit your needs. During our stay, they were still busy building the Chalets, although the Builders are finishing off the last details, the Chalets were almost ready for guests to come and stay at the Lodge.

We did not know what to expect and were surprised by what the Lodge offered. The owners equipped the campsites very well. The campsites have water, electricity, and your private ablution. Overall, the staff maintain the Campsite well, and the staff are friendly and willing to help you.

The Campsite have a braai stand with a free bundle of wood and the staff even offered to start our fire for us.

The kids did not even go any further, because they would rather stay at the Lodge for the whole trip. They enjoyed the swimming pool, as it was a nice cooldown after the game.

Last words on Mababe River Lodge

To summarize our stay at the Lodge, the Lodge is a lovely stopover or suitable to stay over for two or three nights, as there are a lot of animals to see on game drives, a nice swimming pool to cooldown in the afternoons, a dining area to have a nice breakfast or dinner at.

The whole Lodge is well maintained, and we will most certainly stay there in the future. Therefore, without a doubt, we recommend staying at the Lodge.

Furthermore, we enjoyed a lovely breakfast for more than a reasonable price. So, we left the Lodge with great memories and will return.
